Why we treat your property

Learn why we treat your property even if you can’t see a fire ant nest. Check if we’re treating your area.

Why we treat every property

Fire ants are an invasive pest that threaten our health, environment, economy, and outdoor way of life. Treating your property helps protect your family, pets and other animals.

Fire ants are in South East Queensland and have been detected in some areas of New South Wales. Treating properties in these areas helps us eliminate fire ants before they spread to new areas.

Properties without visible nests

Fire ant nests can be hard to see. They may be hidden under objects, blend into their surroundings or extend underground.

Fire ants can spread quickly and travel long distances to establish new nests.

Just one missed nest can rebuild the fire ant population and undo years of community effort.
